good morning! oh i still miss lisa 'left eye' lopes so much - the supa fly rap queen of TLC who tragically passed away at the age of 30 in a car accident back in april of 2002 - i'll never forget the day i heard the sad news - i was driving around over in glendale and my little brother david called me - he was all 'left eye from TLC is dead' - i was like 'what the fuck?!?' i seriously didn't believe it at first - she was such a firecracker (literally) her untimely passing was devastating - i first fell in love with her along with t-boz & chilli after their incredible album crazysexycool (1994) and then their much delayed follow-up album fanmail (five years later in '99) in the end it was all so tragic - not only was she dead - so was TLC - although the t-boz & chilli have tried to do a few projects solo and as a duo - the synergy will never be quite like it was - sad but true!
on january 27th - there's an album being released call eye legacy which features some unheard solo material from ms. lopes - along with tracks from her debut solo album supernova (which never really got a proper release - the timing was very unfortunate) below is a track called let's just do it which features missy elliott and the other two girls from TLC - it's pretty decent and i love hearing 'left eye' once again - yes it's a little on the morbid side but let's face it - we listen to plenty of music sung by dead people - creepy but true! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

hmmm...chris klein used to be pretty freakin' hot but this picture taken of him today over in santa monica (at PS arts 'express yourself 2008') tells an entirely different story - his hair looks like its getting ready for comb over mode at age 29! besides those american pie movies - he'll probably be best remembered for being katie holmes boyfriend (before tom cruise and scientology sank their claws into her...) see i couldn't even write about chris w/o mentioning his ex...remember there was those rumors suggesting that he was actually suri cruise's father? by now we know that is definitely not the case - she does look like both tom & katie and i must say she's my fave celebrity tot - she's so damn adorable! good evening! the other day we had actress maggie gyllenhaalout & about wearing fur and just last night over in paris - lindsay lohan was wearing fur - so an anti-fur activist decided to pelt her with a bunch of flour and screamed lindsay lohan - fur hag as ms. lohan ran into a nightclub with gal pal samantha ronson in tow (who mentioned it today on her blog) you can see pictures of the incident over on X17 - people seriously just need to put down the fur - there's no reason to wear it (although i don't know if dousing someone in flour is the brightest idea but she definitely got our attention and her message out) PETA was quick to issue a statement which you'll find below (along with some pictures of lindsay & sam taken today in london - right after arriving back from france) on a semi-related note - this past week i came up with five t-shirt ideas in conjunction with neighborhoodies as part of their 'think-up' series - with part of the proceeds being donated to PETA (which i selected as my charity of choice - you know me - i love animals!) the whole thing has been a big hit (even landing on PETA2's blog) so i'll actually be doing five more shirts next week - woo hoo! popbytes over & out for tonight...xoxo

good evening everyone! i was so excited the other day to find out two of my favorite shows will be returning to FX at the beginning of next year - nip/tuck is coming back for its 6th season starting tuesday january 6th - the following night damages is back for a 2nd season (i still need to catch up on the first season - i'm about halfway through - it kicks ass) hopefully 'nip/tuck' will be better this time around than last - it wasn't horrible but i think they can do a better job (plus it was cut short by eight episodes because of the writers' strike) when we last left 'dr. mcnamara' (dylan walsh) he was attacked by that super crazy lady 'colleen rose' (played to perfection by sharon gless) and left for dead - luckily by the looks of the promo below (featuring kanye west's 'flashing lights) 'dr. troy' (julian mcmahon) finds him - just in time! i hope everyone is enjoying their friday night - thank heavens the weekend is finally here - popbytes over & out for tonight...xoxo (oh and i just had to add that i adorekelly carlson who will be back as kimber henry)

good morning y'all & happy friday! so right now i'm on this huge grace jones kick right now (join her on myspace) girlfriend just released her first album in nineteen years called hurricane - i picked up the import version earlier this week (i'm not sure if it will get a proper release here in the states) and it's awesome - it's kooky, dark, and trippy - just like ms. jones! (watch the video for her first single 'corporate cannibal') she's also doing a small set of shows over in the UK - i'd simply die to see her sing in person - i think she'd be amazing! last night at ms. jones showed up to GQ magazine's 2008 men of the year awards which were held in munich, germany - i don't know if she stole the centerpiece off a table but she was carrying around this rather large bouquet of flowers while getting sassy with actor joseph fiennes (best known for shakespeare in love) i bet she's a total trip to hang out with plus she still looks amazing at age 60 - long live grace jones! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo

good evening! i'm just about to head downtown to the orpheum theatre to catch alanis morissette on her north american tour - in support of her new 7th studio album flavors of entanglement - i've been a huge fan of alanis since the release of her third album jagged little pill back in 1995 (hands down one of those albums i'll never forget - it was completely monumental to me back then - oh gosh i drove my roommate at the time michelle totally crazy because i played it non-stop for at least six months) i saw ms. morissette play NYC's roseland ballroom right before her album became such a huge hit and i still say it was one of the best shows i've ever seen (plus i was right up in the front - she was amazing) so i figured why not see her again - i've enjoyed most everything she has done over the years and seeing her tonight will definitely make me reflect a little bit - a lot sure has changed since then! below is a fan made video for 'moratorium' - one of the best tracks off her latest album and please check my twitter page for updates from the show! popbytes over & out for now...xoxo
