good morning! it's friday and thankfully i have the day off - i'm thrilled - i can totally use the extra downtime - it's just been pure insanity over the past week! right now i've got sexy pictures of lady gaga (complete with nipples) from the latest issue of V magazine (issue #60 - on sale july 7th) as of late - i've been avoiding her at all costs - i'm glad she broke out internationally in a major way but i've totally worn her out - i listened to her super fun debut album the fame so many times - i almost can't bear it anymore! now i want to see what gaga is going to do for an encore - i do genuinely believe she's a talented artist however she's still new to the scene and sometimes girlfriend can get really annoying (like that button hairdo she was trying to rock the other day was way out of control & lame) i wonder how long we will have to wait for her second album? enjoy the shots below which actually came out great (plus there's a 'behind the shoot' video posted) i especially love the one with the teddy bear sitting next to her on the sand - it's super cute! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

hey everyone - it's almost hard to believe michael jackson has been gone for an entire week now - of course i can't seem to get MJ out of my mind - i was so saddened to see the small clip below released today of michael rehearsing the song they don't really care about us (one of my favorites) on june 23rd ... just two days before his untimely and sudden passing - originally i didn't know if he had enough stamina & strength to pull off his 50 london comeback shows but the video clearly shows he was up to the challenge ... what an amazing show it would have been ... i cannot believe no one will ever get to see the real thing! i seriously hope more footage from the rehearsal is released - it's our last chance to see what he was working on! also below you'll find the four covers entertainment weekly released to honor the life of michael jackson - plus there's a couple of shots of mr. jackson through the years (including one of him w/ princess diana) my gosh - what a strange week it has been - i still can't get over it! i'm thinking i might try to attend his memorial service being held at staples center on tuesday morning - tomorrow details are being released on how to secure free tickets - it's going to be a total zoo but i'd imagine it will be more organized than if it was held up at neverland - i'd really love to pay my final respects to the king of pop! popbytes over & out ... xoxo

I thought the news and current events were pretty damn crazy before the tragic and sad death of Michael Jackson, but wow ... nothing will ever top the news from June 25th. And even with MJ ruling all cable and news shows 24/7, I would be remiss to not feature him this week. While he has so many amazing, classic songs - he has almost as many mashups, it was very hard to pick just one. But I chose one featuring Britney Spears (courtesy of POMATIC) because it seems to say so much, and the pararells between these two won't go unnoticed. We all want more & more from our pop stars, almost to the point of killing them - or them slowly killing themselves. From the enablers to the drugs to the pressure of the press that picks them clean like vultures, I hope Michael's finally found his much-deserved peace.

good morning everyone! i totally thought the latest cover of STAR magazine would be all about michael jackson but i was pleasantly surprised to see an update on hollywood's best and worst beach bodies - there's just a small mention of a possible custody battle looming over michael's three children (hold on tight everybody ... this legal saga for sure will go on for months especially because there could potentially be loads of money at stake ... only if his assets gets handled properly) kim kardashian is featured as having one of the best beach bodies around - i must agree! girlfriend does have an incredible body - she's not too big or small - kim's just about right and has girly curves in all the right places! as for the worst bodies ... kate gosselin's saggy mom ass is way more attractive than the nastiness i posted on last night! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

ok ... so this is a completely random post - it has zero relation with anything to do with entertainment but i couldn't pass on tossing up these pictures i took myself last friday! i happen to work across the street from grauman's chinese theatre - michael jackson's walk of fame star happens to be right out front - i was snapping pictures of people gathering to pay their respects ... my buddy jesse noticed this truck heading east on hollywood blvd - in the back of it was all this nasty looking meat, chicken and seafood scraps! we were all SHOCKED after seeing the pictures up close! the really scary part is - you'd never have known what the truck was carrying unless you were looking down from above like i happened to be - there was no cover on the stench it plus it was pretty hot outside - this gross truck just looks like one big ass health code violation - it literally made me sick to my stomach! could you imagine the truck had an accident and all those scraps spilled all over the street?!? it's beyond disgusting - and witnessing it definitely made me think about where my meat comes from (has anyone seen food inc. yet?) check out the pictures below - only if you can bear it - this is by far the most unglamorous thing i've ever seen on the blvd! that's saying a lot - trust me - there are many moments that lack glamour here in hollywood on a daily basis - i've seen some crazy shit go down in and around my neighborhood! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

good evening y'all! i was seriously dreading going back to work this morning but somehow i managed to get through today and thankfully i have off on friday - so at least it's short week! anyways right now i've got mariah carey who was in NYC today shooting a video at the plaza hotel for her new single obsessed (directed by brett ratner) off her upcoming album memoirs of an imperfect angel (the cover is below - it hits stores on august 25th) i really wish ms. carey had been at the BET awards last night - it would have been awesome for her to sing i'll be there ... instead of super lame host jamie foxx who did nothing but annoy the hell out of me the whole evening - i thought the entire show was pretty terrible (producers obviously didn't have a lot of time to put together a proper tribute) the highlight was definitely seeing janet jackson issue a brief statement on behalf of the entire jackson family (the low point was seeing creepy dad joe jackson being all shifty mccoy on the red carpet) i'm sure there will be another tribute to michael jackson - and ms. carey better be involved somehow - i simply love her version of that song! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

good morning! after listening to michael jackson non-stop since his untimely death this past thursday - i simply had to post this incredible megamix i came across featuring sixteen of his best tracks all mixed into one amazing medley! the past few days have been beyond surreal - i certainly never thought mr. jackson's passing would affect me as much as it has - i've been really sad & reflective over the past few days but on the other hand listening to all his music and watching his videos has definitely put a smile on my face - he'd totally want us to celebrate - rather than mourn! i know he's in a better place right now - i can't thank him enough for all that he left us - my gosh - his musical legacy is truly legendary! popbytes over & out for now ... xoxo

oh my gosh! i've had a crush on john stamos for as long as i can remember - everyone had a thing for 'uncle jesse' on full house (he was also cute on general hospital as 'blackie parrish') thankfully mr. stamos has aged really well - at age 45 he's still sexy as ever (he turns 46 in august) plus according to denise richards he's really good in the bedroom - i'm very surprised someone else hasn't snatched him up ... he split with rebecca romijn back in 2005! how's everybody holding up? i'm still having trouble with the unexpected passing of michael jackson (i know there are cynics out there but i'm not having any of that here on popbytes) i've been listening to his music non-stop - i've got his videos playing on one TV (the other is tuned to CNN) i also keep thinking about how i would sometimes make snarky swipes at him for being so bizarre - there's no question that he danced to the beat of a very different drummer - but who am i to be so judgmental? his sudden death took me by complete surprise (along with everyone else i know) i guess hindsight is always 20/20 - i'm glad to know he'll always be remembered for the incredible musical legacy he left us - icons like michael jackson are few & far between ... i can't even imagine anyone ever being able to top his superstar status! i'm grateful to have been witness to part of his brilliant career - my only regret is not having seen him perform live! i figured if his comeback shows went off without a hitch - he'd bring the tour here eventually but sadly we'll never know what might have been! make sure to visit time magazine's comprehensive web coverage - below is the commemorative cover being released on monday - i love the shot selected - taken by famed photographer herb ritts - i'm so going to pick myself up a copy - i still can't believe he's really gone! popbytes over & out for tonight ... xoxo

farrah fawcett - rest in peace (1947-2009)

oh my word! i still am in complete shock over yesterday's extremely sad events - which started off with the heartbreaking news that farrah fawcett lost her long and arduous battle with cancer at the age of 62 (then the afternoon was taken over by the news of michael jackson's shocking and unexpected passing - she became part of the eclipsed celebrity death club) i knew ms. fawcett was in very bad shape but it didn't make the news any less sad - the last three years or so farrah bravely faced and fought her cancer - girlfriend did not go down without an intense fight - her courage & faith was truly inspiring - at least she's not suffering anymore - may she finally rest in peace! farrah had many ups and downs over the years (both professionally and personally) but towards the end - she seemed to be at peace with everything and thankfully she had her long-time partner ryan o'neal by her side right up until the very end - i am praying for her friends and family ... especially her son redmond o'neal - who i sincerely hope can turn his life around and do right by his mom - making farrah a proud 'angel' up in heaven - right about now i'm betting she's hanging out with michael jackson - she must have been like 'what the hell are you doing here?!?' losing two legends in one day was truly too much to bear! i wonder if farrah ever met michael? now they'll be forever tied together ... i remember where i was when i heard about princess diana's unfortunate death in 1997 and i will not be able to forget yesterday's passings anytime soon! i'm beyond emotionally spent at this point - i seriously need to get a little extra rest & relaxation this weekend! much love to all as always - xoxo
