Last winter, the first of The Hobbit film adaptations, An Unexpected Journey, was released. Yeah, despite The Hobbit being about as long as any installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, they decided to split it into three movies because why make one movie when you can bring in the money of THREE? Yeah, I know, weird. Anyway, like the first movie, The Desolation of Smaug looks promising but will probably get bogged down by really gratuitous fight scenes in a claustrophobic environment.
