brokeback, AFA, & WalMart – oh my!

hey kids – thanks to my friend MP – this little item below was brought to my attention – i swear don’t people have better things to do than protest the sale of a DVD? who has the time??? oh lordy – check out all the info below – oh i hate that AFA and founder donald wildmon – what a bunch of sorry ass losers…popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!

Wal-Mart has decided to sell Brokeback Mountain DVDs in all of its 3,900 locations despite the protests of the ultra-conservative American Family Association. The AFA has now launched a campaign accusing Wal-Mart of backing a pro-gay agenda; they’re also asking “concerned Christians to let their local Wal-Mart managers know how they feel and that they are not pleased over the chain’s decision to promote and carry the pro-homosexual movie.”

In the past, the AFA has been successful in pressuring companies to back away from anything deemed “pro-gay.” Given the size and influence of Wal-Mart, it would send an incredibly negative message (on many levels) if the AFA and its vocal members were to succeed in this case. So please take a moment to send some positive feedback to Wal-Mart about their decision to carry “Brokeback Mountain” on their shelves.

That link will take you to the Wal-Mart site, where you may either send a comment to the corporate office or to your local Wal-Mart store.
