Oh my gosh, this is some exciting television news! Dallas could be coming back to prime-time (Remember that 2006 movie rumor? I assume that’s a dead project!) A series reboot is rumored to be in the works – and Larry Hagman and Linda Gray could be part of it – playing infamous soap couple J.R. and Sue Ellen – although the focus will mainly be on their son ‘John Ross Ewing III’ as well ‘Christoper Ewing’ (adopted son of ‘Bobby and Pam’ – producers need to try to bring back Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal) Three other names are being tossed around … I’m all for Kiefer Sutherland and hottie Josh Holloway but then I read the name Jennifer Love Hewitt and breathed a sigh of disappointment, she’s horribly annoying! I’d like to suggest Rose McGowan, I think she’d actually be perfect for the show. I loved watching Dallas with my mom back in the day on Friday nights, prime-time soaps certainly aren’t what they used to be, hopefully this one can be done right!

Plans are afoot to bring Dallas back to the television screen – with Larry Hagman, now 79, playing his original role. Former 24 star Kiefer Sutherland is being touted to appear in the new version which will once again revolve around the family scandals and betrayals at Southfork Ranch.
This time, however, it will focus on JR’s son, John Ross and Bobby and Pam Ewing’s adopted son, Christopher. It is almost 20 years since Dallas last aired in Britain, but producers have reportedly approached Patrick Duffy, 61, and 70-year-old Linda Gray to revive their roles as JR’s brother, Bobby, and his long suffering wife, Sue Ellen.
Ghost Whisperer actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and Lost actor Josh Holloway have all been linked to inject fresh blood into the dysfunctional Ewing clan. America’s TNT cable network is said to be filming a pilot for the series in the New Year. SOURCE
