And just like that, I’ve blown up the head of every hipster that reads this blog. Anyway, David Lynch is releasing an album of electronic pop because that’s what weird old people do these days (see: Madonna). Oh, and as I mentioned above, Karen O is going to be featured on one of the tracks. You know, in case this whole thing couldn’t get any weirder.
It features guest vocals from Yeah Yeah Yeahs leader Karen O on a song called Pinky’s Dream. Those are two very good reasons to get excited. Crazy Clown Time arrives November 8 from Sunday Best Recordings. (In the U.S., it will be co-released by PIAS America.) Lynch wrote, produced, and performed the entire thing with help from engineer Dean Hurley, who also plays guitar and drums on several songs. SOURCE
I’m not gonna lie: I actually had a really really, really long weekend that contained much leather and very little sleeping, so for all intents and purposes, I should probably warn you all that my ability to distinguish reality from zombie-sex fueled fever dreams (don’t ask) is running at an all-time low right now. So if this actually turns out to all be a dream sequence that I’m writing while only semi-lucid, please excuse me and know that this is what happens when I’m running on five hours of sleep.
