Disney is finally making a ‘Finding Nemo’ sequel

Nemo and Dory

Nemo and Dory

Yeah, that headline just happened. I have to go literally die of happiness because FINDING DORY. Remember me … for my all-consuming hatred of the Kardashians … Access Hollywood reports…

“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” Ellen DeGeneres said. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is — it’s got a lot more Dory.”

The new film picks up about a year after the action of Finding Nemo, with DeGeneres’ forgetful fish Dory on her own adventure to reunite with loved ones. According to Disney, the film will feature new characters along with familiar ones, including Nemo and his dad, Marlin, who was voiced by Albert Brooks. There’s no word yet from Disney on whether Brooks will reprise his voice role.

The best part about all of this is that it’ll finally answer the question of whether or not all those aquarium fish actually got out of the bags at the end of Finding Nemo. Seriously, did that bother anyone else? Are you telling me that at no point did it occur to the puffer fish to just poke his way out? That kind of seems like the obvious answer.
