FashionBytes: Lorenzo’s Next Top Model + Dress Déjà vu!

This week has been ALL about the preview video from the Lanvin for H&M collaboration, if you haven’t already had the chance to check out the clip, it is definitely a must-see. Look closely and you’ll also spot Simon Nessman‘s cameo appearance.

Here is a still shot of the gorgeous model by David Sims to celebrate the collection, launching on November 23rd. This coupled with the release of Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday on the 22nd, is set to launch a somewhat epic November weekend.

The topic of repetition when it comes to dresses on covers of fashion magazines always riles up the fashion crowd – remember Miu Miu? Another prime example surfaced today with Anne Hathaway (looking amazing but … ), rocking a sparkly Balmain dress that has already appeared on six big covers this season, including Cindy Crawford on Indian Vogue, Abbey Lee on German Vogue, Toni Garrn on Spanish Vogue, Claudia on Zeit magazine, Anna Dello Russo on 10 and Natalia Vodianova on Harper’s Bazaar. I am not sure who looks more foolish – Condé Nast or Balmain? Actually, I take that back, definitely Condé Nast – Balmain has been WORKING the PR on this one. Kudos.

Also, some of you might remember the launch of Lorenzo Martone and Jules Kim‘s Nycked swimwear line from earlier this year. If you fancy yourself as the face of it, then get involved as there is an open casting call to model the SS 2011 collection tonight at 5pm in NYC – if you are around that is (208 West 30th Street, Suite 901).
