There have been a slew of new talks shows premiering during the fall season, but there’s one in particular that I’m more excited about above all the rest (yes, including Anderson Cooper), the return of Rosie O’Donnell to television!
I loved Rosie’s first talk show back in the day, and let’s all face it, TV just isn’t the same without some Rosie action! Her new show, aptly titled The Rosie Show is all ready to debut on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN on October 10th (7/6c). The thing I appreciate about Rosie the most is that she speaks her mind, and never holds back plus she hails from my native Long Island, I simply have to support her.
With her brand new platform, I’m quite sure she’ll be making headlines again with her outspoken, no-holds-barred style. When it comes to Rosie there’s no denying that she knows how to keep things fresh and interesting. Although she can be quite serious, we all know she loves to have fun too and this show is going to be a mix of a little bit of everything including live performances, visits from her celebrity friends (she so needs to book her gal pal Madonna and her buddy Tom Cruise) along with discussions on current events and issues near and dear to families everywhere.
The show will be shooting in Chicago at Oprah’s famed Harpo Studios, there was magic made there for twenty-five years, and I know Rosie will be able to capture the hearts and minds of the American public once again.
