| oh more bad news! who can bear it? not i! dana reeve – widow of ‘superman’ chris reeve announced she has lung cancer today (in a statement i copied below) – she is only 44 – and is undergoing treatment right now and her prognosis does looks good – phew! i swear this week (this year!) has been terrible – i can’t take anymore bad news – it all stresses me – so popbytes is sending out much love and good healthy vibes to dana – what an amazing woman (and a really great singer as well!) – and i know chris would be proud of her strength & courage – popbytes out for now… ps i am so happy the space shuttle landed safely in california (edwards airforce base) this morning – and it woke me up – it was 5:07am – and the shuttle landed at 5:11am – i thought it was a small earthquake – but no just the shuttle! so glad they are safe! |  |
Based on the imminent release of a tabloid article regarding my personal health, my family and I have decided to release our own statement. I have recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and am currently undergoing treatment. I have an excellent team of physicians and we are optimistic about my prognosis. My family and I deeply appreciate the care and concern of our friends and supporters and trust that everyone understands our need and desire for privacy during this time. I hope before too long to be sharing news of my good health and recovery. Now, more than ever, I feel Chris with me as I face this challenge. As always, I look to him as the ultimate example of defying the odds with strength, courage, and hope in the face of life�s adversities.
