Once upon a time, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were famous, and then they weren’t. The End. Except then the U.K. (the people who brought you Katie Price and Geordie Shore) decided they could just import terrible American celebrities and give them another shot at infamy by putting them on Celebrity Big Brother, and lo and behold, Speidi limped out of their grave and back into sorta-relevancy. So now they’re getting their own one-off TV special on England’s Channel 5, because English TV is the medium that God forgot. Via HuffPo …
If you thought you’d seen the last of reality TV fiends Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, think again. The LA couple, who wrecked havoc in the latest series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, have landed a one-off TV show on Channel 5. ‘The Speidi Story’ will reportedly document their time on hugely popular US reality show The Hills and their stint in the Big Brother house. A spokesman for the show told Virgin Media: ”Speidi have gone from being America’s most loathed couple to a new UK phenomenon, thanks to Celeb Big Brother. This is their story.” However, their appearance in CBB wasn’t to everyone’s taste. The couple, who finished second to Rylan Clark, are said to have attracted at least 35 complaints from viewers who argued that their antics on the show amounted to bullying. In an open letter published in the Daily Star, Spiedi implored Ofcom not to continue with an official investigation into their behaviour in the house, telling the media regulator to “put on your big girl knickers and stop whining”.
Yes, Heidi and Spencer were such horrible people, that an official government investigation is underway just to see how terrible two human-shaped turd sculptures can be. Since neither of them are going to go away for the next little while, I might as well mock them some more: If I wanted to watch a documentary about a useless, pedo-bearded douche shacking up with a hundred pounds of post-industrial Chinese plastic clumsily disguised as a human female, I’d watch Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison‘s getting relationship help on Couples Therapy.
