As if Jay Leno didn’t completely ruin what little good will he still had by ousting Conan O’Brien and being terminally unfunny, Jay decided to piss off the Internet by ripping off blogger Rich Juzwiak‘s (I’m not gonna lie; I had to Google him just to make sure I didn’t spell that wrong. i spel werds goodly!) supercut of Taylor Swift feigning surprise at award shows.
What surprised me the most wasn’t so much that Kate and I weren’t mentioned, but that the video wasn’t credited as having originated on the Internet. This is not an obscure work — it’s racked up over 200,000 views in a week! I thought at the very least, he’d give and indication of this thing’s preexistence so that his viewers could hunt it down if they were so inclined. That was, apparently, expecting too much. SOURCE
I would like to give thanks for Jay Leno. Specifically for the fact that he has absolutely no sense of responsibility or culpability, which is great when you consider just how often he treats people like shit or screws over others for his own gain. Seriously; David Letterman cheated on his wife, and even he’s more beloved than you. Jimmy Kimmel could light a puppy on fire and still be less hated than Jay.
