The entire gossip blogosphere is collectively shitting itself right now because apparently, Megan Fox‘s Marilyn Monroe tattoo (the one on the inside of her right arm) looks a tiny bit lighter than it used to, which means she’s having it lasered off or something. I don’t know, I honestly can’t see it as any lighter than it was before, but clearly someone out there did so that’s all that matters.
Several blogs have speculated that the 24-year-old actress is in the process of having a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe removed from her right forearm; the portrait of the iconic blonde looked noticeably lighter when Fox accompanied hubby Brian Austin Green to a party celebrating Jaguar cars in NYC last week.
What inspired the Transformers star to get the prominent tattoo in the first place?
“I really admire Marilyn Monroe, but I would never try to emulate her. I got the tattoo as a warning,” she said in 2009. “It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down.” SOURCE
Actually, you’d figure that if she started getting her tattoos removed, she would have gone with the Shakespearian misquote on her back. Nothing says “I’m a huge dumbass!” like trying to quote Shakespeare permanently on your back and then completely screwing it up because you couldn’t be bothered looking it up to make sure that you weren’t just pulling pretty words out of your ass. Anyway, chances are the tattoo is just fading due to time and sun damage and probably just needs a touch-up is all. Case solved.
