Disney is really doubling down on the success of Maleficent (in theaters in May), considering how the last couple of live action movies they put out — The Lone Ranger and the really actually pretty good John Carter — didn’t do so well. But thankfully, they’re pulling out one of their most classic characters, filling out her backstory, and shading it in with some really lush visuals and a story that looks to be humanizing Maleficent a bit. Also: Angelina Jolie‘s cheekbones. I’m contractually obligated to point out how crazy those suckers are.
