Ke$ha is pretty much full of it

Ke$ha

Ever since Ke$ha‘s hit single “Die Young” was pulled from the airwaves since no one wants to hear about dying young after the Newtown tragedy, Ke$ha has been doing everything in her power to avoid taking any sort of culpability. First, she claimed that she had been forced to sing the lyrics, then a video was brought up where Ke$ha claims that she wrote the song herself, and now here she is on her own website sort of settling in the middle of things:

After such a tragic event I was feeling a lot of emotion and sadness when I said I was forced to sing some of the lyrics to “Die Young.” Forced is not the right word. I did have some concerns about the phrase “die young” in the chorus when we were writing the lyrics especially because so many of my fans are young and that’s one reason why I wrote so many versions of this song. But the point of the song is the importance of living every day to the fullest and staying young at heart, and these are things I truly believe.

You know, the weird thing is, Ke$ha could have just avoided this whole thing by saying “Sorry everyone, it was just a matter of bad timing. Pull my song and maybe next time I’ll consider my words a little more carefully.” Instead, she said a bunch of crazy bullcrap (on Twitter) and now Ke$ha just looks even more guilty than she already did, especially with her foot in her mouth. Nicely done, lady.
