As my second piece of evidence, Kim Kardashian and Pauly D incited a riot in SoHo that required intervention from the police and barricades being set up. That’s right: Kim Kardashian and Pauly D. A riot ensued over how much people love them, despite the fact that neither of them actually do anything. According to TMZ:
As TMZ first reported, Pauly D agreed to work the party at the Kardashians’ store in NYC … for free … as a wedding gift to Kim and Kris Humphries.
According to sources inside the store … NYPD had to step in when the crowd of thousands tried to jump the barricades to get to Pauly as he left the store.
We’re told cops made the Kardashian sisters and all their employees leave the store and turn off all the lights — essentially telling the crazed fans, “You ain’t got to go home, but …”
So basically, hundreds of people showed up to see two people who – if they weren’t gigantic whores that somehow managed to schadenfreude their way into a lucrative TV deal – no one would look at twice. So basically, reality TV managed to convince an entire generation that these people are important and to cause a riot for them. That’s some Kaiser Söze shit right there.
