Lady Gaga‘s new single Yoü and I (produced by Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange) happens to be my favourite track off her latest album, Born This Way. She recently tweeted the artwork for the single and thank whatever deity you choose, Buddha, Allah, Jebus, Flying Spaghetti Monster, or what-have-you that the cover is WAY better than the holly-hobby PhotoShop art for the album. Returning as her drag alter-ego, Jo Calderone, Gaga is looking quite good, maybe in need of some soap and water, but good! Last time we saw Gaga in drag was about a year ago in Vogue Hommes Japan, which stirred up more of those silly rumours that she actually has boy parts.
Jo’s looking kind of rough in this double cover release, like he’s about one wrong comment away from beating the living daylights out of the next moving thing in his line of sight. I wonder if we’re going to get some double Gaga action in the video for the single? I can totally imagine Jerry Springer taking on this topic … “I’m my own love interest”. Seems a bit masturbatory to me, but hey, she gave birth to automatic weapons in Born This Way‘s music video, so I guess it isn’t outside possibility for the pop icon. What do you think of Yoü and I being selected as the official fourth single? Will it be able to top the charts?
You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don’t love yourself. #You&ISingleCover. @LadyGaga
