Lindsay Lohan is hosting ‘Chelsea Lately’

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan just got out of three-month rehab stint a few days ago, but she’s already back to work, which in the grand scheme of things is probably one of the better things she could be doing for herself. Funny lady Chelsea Handler apparently has enough confidence in Lindsay to let her guest host her talk show for an episode (airing August 5th). To be fair, it’s on E!, so thankfully there isn’t too much pressure on Lindsay considering her lead-in is the likes of Kim Kardashian. Page Six reports …

According to a TMZ source, Lohan cracked during her gig, “I’ve been on a 90-day court ordered vacation.” The source added that she was “very funny” and even poked fun at host Chelsea Handler for drinking too much. The notoriously flaky starlet even arrived on set on time, did a “great job” during rehearsals, and only needed one take for her opening monologue, E! News reported. A Yahoo! reporter described a “tentative and [seemingly] shy” Lohan took the stage dressed in black with her red hair brushed to the side. She then loosened up during her round table with Brad Wollack, Fortune Feimster and Jen Kirkman, where she joked about several topics, including “Justin Bieber putting a fan’s phone down his pants.” After the show, it’s said that Lohan greeted fans in the 150+ member audience and took photos with the crew.

Well, so far so good. She’s professional, courteous, and humble, which is definitely a step in the right direction for her. Hell, television might be a good place for Lindsay. A more steady, regular gig would probably be good for her, and considering NBC once greenlit a show about monkey doctors, Lindsay getting her own show doesn’t seem all that far-fetched.
