Lindsay Lohan trades Barbara Walters for Jay Leno

Jay Leno, Lindsay Lohan and Barbara Walters

In yet another instance of Jay Leno being given something that was originally promised to a much better TV host than him, Lindsay Lohan booked an appearance on The Tonight Show today, after she called off her Barbara Walters interview last week because she was afraid of being asked the hard questions, like “How are you?” or “Can I get you anything? Coffee? Tea?” Hard-hitting stuff.

Lindsay agreed to appear on the show soon after she pulled out of her 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters, which is rumored to have been cancelled due to Rogers & Cowan, LiLo’s PR firm, being unhappy with its direction. The TV movie tells the story of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor and her romance with Richard Burton. Entitled Liz & Dick, it will premiere in the US on the 25 November at 9pm. Lindsay is not only known for her success as a child actor in films such as The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, but also for a number of controversial incidents, which included a stint in rehab. However, it’s said that the interview with Jay Leno will be focused solely on her new movie and not her troubled past. SOURCE

In all fairness, Leno is probably the most bland, inoffensive comedian out there, so you know he’s going to lob softball after softball at her. Hell, they probably made him agree to only refer to Lindsay as “Liz Taylor reincarnate” just to maintain the precious bubble of unawareness that surrounds LiLo. So of course, Lindsay is probably going to be a no-show that night (November 20th), because the poor dumb-dumb has all the professionalism of a Yorkshire Terrier.
