P.O.D. thinks Kanye West is a ravenous wolf?

P.O.D. and Kanye West

So as it turns out, when you name your album after a portmanteau of your own nickname and Jesus, and include a song called “I Am a God,” not everyone is going to be too keen on that. P.O.D. (aka Payable on Death), a rap-metal-Christian-band (Quick aside here: WHO THOUGHT THAT COMBINATION WAS A GOOD IDEA?) apparently had some choice words for Kanye West, and according to HuffPo, the basic gist of them is that Kanye is a false prophet who is secretly some sort of wolf demon? I don’t know, let’s allow the crappy turn-of-the-century fad explain themselves …

Sonny Sandoval of the band P.O.D. also spoke to TMZ, giving some harsh criticism of the rapper. “Kanye West deceives many and will lead many people astray,” Sandoval reportedly told TMZ, adding a recitation of Matthew 7:15-23 on the dangers of “false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”

In all fairness, I don’t think Kanye is so much a prophet as he is someone who desperately craves attention (almost as much as Kim Kardashian) and is willing to say whatever batsh!t crazy thing pops into his head. I also don’t think anyone believes Kanye is a God of Yeezus Christ or whatever he’s trying to go for. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Kanye is barely smart enough to outwit a dolphin and rap-metal sucks no matter which religion you try to awkwardly shoehorn into it.
