Admittedly, I wasn’t expecting a lot out of Pitch Perfect (in theaters October 5th). Last time we got a movie that seemed to be piggy banking off of the Glee phenomenon, it was the ironically titled Joyful Noise. Seriously, how do you put Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton together and find a way to completely waste their talent? Anyway, despite that disappointment, Pitch Perfect looks pretty decent. It’s got some teeth, the vocal numbers are solid, and it might even be … pretty good? I remain cautiously optimistic.
