good morning! out of the many music email pitches sent to me on a daily basis – i recently came across los angeles based band taxi doll (join them on myspace) i immediately dug their vibe which is a bit of no doubt and blondie mixed with a sprinkle of goldfrapp – i hate comparisons like that but it makes for an easy way to describe their sound which is a bit more pop rock than electro (they call it ‘rocktronica’) the band has been around since 2004 and eventually were signed to universal records – now their debut album here and now is due out later this month (february 23rd) i thought they were a perfect fit for my ‘monday .mp3’ column – so below is one of their tracks called a little more love available for download plus there’s a video for waiting which is a club hit you might recognize (here’s a remix of that song) popbytes over & out for now…xoxo
