Taylor Swift got to open the Grammys last night with a Cirque de so-lame meets Alice in Wonderland mess, which already sounds bad enough as it is, but wait, it gets worse! Because Taylor just can’t stop herself from using her failed relationships as musical influences, she decided to take one final jab at One Direction’s Harry Styles, mimicking his voice and torturing a boy on-stage. The blonde beauty took the stage at the Staples Center with a circus-themed act, clad in an all-white outfit punctuated by a top hat. Singing her signature hit “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” she began speaking in an over-the-top British accent, saying: “So he calls me up and he’s like ‘Ah still louve you’ … and I’m like ‘I’m sorry, I’m busy opening up the Grammys … and we are never getting back together!’”
Once again: REALLY? You guys broke up a month ago, and you’re still riding this for all the attention it’s worth? No, not how that works. You don’t get to go through failed relationship after failed relationship, and then completely dodge any sort of culpability for how they end. But hey, chewing people up and spitting them out seems to be going pretty well for you, so keep going. It’s not like burning every bridge you can is going to have any long-term damage to your career.
