Because the internet really, really, really likes Deadpool (like, more than a friend …) the test footage for the new Deadpool movie was leaked towards the end of Comic-Con earlier this week featuring Ryan Reynolds as the Marvel character. Now before you get all hyped up, internet nerds, just remember what happened last time Hollywood threw us a bone: It was when they released Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Oh, you fawned over it for months, and it was well received by critics and universally beloved, but then it failed at the box office because all the internet nerds stayed home on the internet. So let that be a lesson to you this time. If you enjoy someone’s work and you want to see them succeed, actually go out and support them. Studios can’t pay their light bills with buzz alone.
