oh good morning people! these are so the days when i miss NYC and the great white way…theater is just not the same in los angeles! this morning over on the east coast the nominations were announced for the 60th Annual Tony Awards – broadway’s highest honor – the awards will take place in the big apple and will be broadcast by CBS on sunday june 11th! my good blog pal nathan over at film experience just emailed me his report – so be sure to check it out…popbytes over & out for now…xxoo!
Yes, JULIA ROBERTS was snubbed -which I’m sure will dominate the news
today. [Oprah will not have to use her powers to destroy the world
because The Color Purple was nominated – so she had better luck than
Rosie O’Donnell doing the Broadway producing gig]. Other high profile
snubees with Julia Roberts are David Schwimmer (Caine Mutiny) and
Cyndi Lauper (Threepenny Opera).
Famous folks who DID get nominated:
Mark Ruffalo, Alan Cumming, Harry Connick Jr., Oliver Platt, Ralph
Fiennes, Cynthia Nixon, etc…
