On the list of things that sound terrible on paper, making a movie about LEGO sounds like it would pan out about as well as a movie about oh, let’s say Battleship. Well, they finally made The LEGO Movie (due out next February), and the first trailer … well, it looks REALLY good. It’s like they sat down and said, “All right, what would they do in a bad LEGO movie? All right, now let’s do the exact opposite of all of that.” Seriously, it looks like great fun. They filmed it using stop-motion animation, the voice talent is on point, and they captured the feeling of playing with LEGO as a kid. I actually want to see this now.
