Something of little concern is the ventures of Harry Potter cast alumni, showing they can do just as well as with the series, if not better. Leading the pack we have Emma Watson, the “It” girl in London right now, who just signed on for the film version of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but the boys aren’t backing away from the limelight either. Rupert Grint, or ‘Ronald Weasley’ as the world may more familiarly know him as, is currently shooting anti-war film Comrade in Norway and slated to appear in two to three other projects including a biopic about Eddie Edwards, the Olympic ski jumper (heavyweights Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were originally thrown around as contenders for the role). And last but definitely not least of the Hermione, Ronald, and Harry trio, we have Daniel Radcliffe who has returned to the stage, Broadway this time, in an acclaimed revival of the 1961 musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying that has some mouths whispering Tony Award. This seems to be something of a trend for the 22-year-old actor, having appeared (completely naked) in the controversial play Equus (by Peter Shaffer) in the West End, just a few years ago. Radcliffe promises to be one of the brightest stars of both the screen and stage in the years to come, and cast mates Grint and Watson aren’t lagging far behind.
