The other night I attended the first of two sold out shows at the legendary Troubadour club for Delta Rae and ZZ Ward‘s co-headlining Fire & Shine Tour (with supporting act Martin Harley), which kicked off last week. I’ve been a huge supporter and fan of Delta Rae ever since I came upon their incredible debut album, Carry The Fire (named one of my top favorite albums of 2012). This marked my fourth time seeing them perform live, and they were absolutely stellar! The energy and talent put out by the band’s six members (I’ve met them all except the bass player) is simply astonishing, I can’t say enough about these guys, that’s why you cannot miss this tour (dates below). Plus ZZ Ward (who we did an interview with a few months ago) was fantastic as well, you also need to check out her smokin’ debut album, Til The Casket Drops. These two acts together is such a perfect combination, I easily would have gone to the second night of their Los Angeles stop, but I had to catch Solange over at House of Blues. Hopefully Delta Rae will be back in town soon, I never want to miss out on another show!
