In Theaters: Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’

Blue Jasmine

It’s Friday which means there’s new movies to see this weekend, my top pick to see is Woody Allen‘s latest dramatic film, Blue Jasmine which opens in limited release today here in Los Angeles and New York City. I totally adore (most of) Woody’s films, he’s definitely one of my favorite writers / directors (and responsible for my top movie of all-time, 1977’s Annie Hall) plus it stars the lovely Cate Blanchett as a woman coming unglued after her marriage to Alec Baldwin crumbles. Catch the trailer below, I’m going to try and see Blue Jasmine as soon as possible, I’ll let you guys know what I think.

After everything in her life falls to pieces, including her marriage to wealthy businessman Hal (Alec Baldwin), elegant New York socialite Jasmine (Cate Blanchett) moves into her sister Ginger’s (Sally Hawkins) modest apartment in San Francisco to try to pull herself back together again.
