In case you were wondering if Lady Gaga‘s contrived-for-attention beef with Kelly Osbourne is ever going to end: Nope! Probably not! Anyway, after Kelly tried to make peace by saying she was a Gaga fan, Gags apparently refused to get off her high horse because apparently, she doesn’t know how comedy shows work or that jokes are things people say to each other all the time. Anyway, Joan Rivers, who hosts Fashion Police and has been a comedienne since the days when comedy was nothing but old white men, decided to cut straight through the BS and get to the heart of the matter. Via Confidenti@l …
“Fashion Police is a comedy show. Anyone that comes out of an egg should figure that out,” Rivers told Entertainment Tonight. “Lighten up.” The show’s executive Producer Melissa Rivers said her mom and Kelly make fun of fashion fails, not the worth of the people wearing them. “Gaga has so much power and is such an icon and can flip a switch and have everyone turn on someone – that’s the ultimate mean girl,” she told Huffington Post.
For the record, I decided to sit down and watch an episode of Fashion Police just to see what Gaga’s hubbub was all about … if Lady Gaga thinks Fashion Police is bullying, then I’m pretty sure she considers knock-knock jokes to be hate speech. Seriously, they make a couple jokes here and there about some of the celebrities, but overall, they are just effusively complimentary to everyone. So either Gaga has never watched an episode of Fashion Police, or she’s just so incredibly thin-skinned that the lightest of pokes is enough to set her off like an atomic bomb.
