Lamar Odom thinks he can quit crack anytime

Lamar Odom

When we last checked in on Lamar Odom, he was holed up in a secret apartment, participating in a crack binge with two women, and had cut himself from all forms of communication because he was worried people were tracking him. So of course, he thinks he can quit anytime because those aren’t signs of a seriously debilitating problem, right? TMZ reports …

Lamar Odom says he’s been sober for 5 days … and he believes he can maintain sobriety WITHOUT going to rehab. Sources connected to the troubled BBaller tell TMZ … Lamar believes in what he calls “self-healing” and says he has the willpower to kick his drug habit on his own. Lamar says he’s done it successfully before and is convinced he can do it again. Toward that end, he is telling people he is removing certain “friends” from his life … so he doesn’t relapse.

Now to be fair, there is a fair bit of evidence that suggests quitting an addiction cold turkey has roughly the same success rate as quitting something using a program, so either way, as long as he’s willing to change himself for the better? All the best to him. But dude is going to need some help, and when you consider that he thinks the Kardashians are his only real family, it kind of makes you wonder what kind of support base he’s working with.
