LeAnn Rimes: I don’t have an eating disorder!

LeAnn Rimes

Despite the fact that if she lost any more weight, LeAnn Rimes would officially be light enough to be considered carry-on luggage whenever she boarded a plane (say what you will, but it could save her A TON in airfare), LeAnn is absolutely adamant that she’s not struggling with an eating disorder. If anything, I’d say she’s very good at it. Us Weekly reports:

LeAnn Rimes’ lean frame is constantly under scrutiny, but the 29-year-old is adamant that she does not have an eating disorder. On Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Rimes opened up about the controversy surrounding her weight. “No, I am not [anorexic or bulimic],” the country star said. “[The press has] been very irresponsible [about] calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be. It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through.”

All right, so while it might be true that tabloids tend to focus heavily on weight issues (I generally do not report on celebrities getting fat because it just seems inherently mean to point at someone and go ‘HEY FATTIE!’ I’m bitchy, but not that bitchy!) but when someone loses weight to the point where they are dangerously thin, I’m not about to stand around and reassure you that it’s perfectly normal to be able to make out a woman’s individual ribs from across the room.
