Lindsay Lohan’s community service includes teaching acting?

Lindsay Lohan

While Lindsday Lohan is out on the town (for now), girl has decided to get her community service out of the way so that she can go back to focusing on her career … HA! Almost made it through that with a straight face. Anyway, Lindsay’s going to be working in a homeless shelter, and this being Los Angeles, said homeless shelter has an acting program (Seriously? Seriously!) and they want her to teach a course for them. I’m assuming it’ll be called ‘What NOT to do 101’?

A rep for L.A.’s Downtown Women’s Center — an organization for nearby homeless women — tells TMZ, the theater workshop is extremely interested in having Lindsay contribute her talents when she kicks off her 360 hours of community service this week. The workshop is called D.I.V.A.S — which stands for Dames Investing in Very Authentic Storytelling — and it consists of approximately 15 women who meet two hours a week … to learn how to express themselves through writing, performing, and the spoken word. So basically, their solution to their homelessness is to get a job acting. Which is great and all until you realize this is Los Angeles and EVERYONE is an actor and they’re all haggling for just a handful of jobs. The field is kind of inundated as is. Maybe a better idea would be to somehow find a real job and then, God willing, break into acting. Or take acting advice from the star of I Know Who Killed Me who ran her career into the ground in a blaze of drugs and booze. Your choice.
