Madonna’s brother has advice for Lady Gaga

Madonna and Christopher Ciccone

Madonna and Christopher Ciccone

Madonna‘s brother (who she recently reconciled with) Christopher Ciccone (above is them pictured years ago) is now giving advice to nemesis and thorn in side, Lady Gaga. Also getting advice? Kelly Clarkson, who apparently has no taste and no real fashion identity (I’m actually in agreement on that one). His advice to Gaga is pretty basic, so mother monster can reach even more fans, or in this case, potential fans, his simple advice is to streamline and “get rid of all the crap and (become) a real person”. I doubt this is advice she’d ever take, Madge being the queen of regeneration, but Gaga is unarguably in close second, the question is really originality. Madonna changed every few years, Gaga changes every few days. Either way, Ciccone finds it his place to flap his mouth with thoughts that would otherwise go unnoticed if he wasn’t the brother of the best-selling single act on Earth.

On Lady Gaga
‘What I would do with Gaga is stream it all down and get rid of all the crap and make her a real person. It’s cool on some level, but when you start out massively way over the top, there is nowhere to go. You get stuck there and you disconnect from the audience. You become this freak on the stage.’

‘You have to remember what really made Madonna really popular is that girls could dress like her. You can’t dress like Gaga, only on Halloween perhaps. It’s a really big part of being a performer – getting your fans to follow you, you have to evolve. At one point with Madonna, it was time for the tights to go.’

On Kelly Clarkson
‘I would love to overhaul Kelly Clarkson. I would certainly give her a style. She needs something. The girl’s got an amazing voice; it’s just the girl comes onstage dowdy and there is no particular look to her. She could do so much better. I don’t know if she doesn’t care and that’s fine, I just feel there is so much more.’ SOURCE
