Remember when you first entered adulthood and tried weed for the first time, and then you went on and on about how weed is better for you than booze and yadda yadda yadda? Well, Miley Cyrus has apparently hit that stage in her life, because according to Page Six, she’s telling people about how she prefers weed to booze.
The former Disney star told Australia’s Style magazine, “When I smoke, I don’t get the sick feeling I get when I drink, or that anger rising up.” She raved about weed, “There’s a reason Bob Marley was like some kind of musical Rasta Mother Teresa!” Miley, 20, who is still not old enough to drink in the US, has hinted in the past that she’s a big smoker. Cyrus told Rolling Stone in June, “I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana — people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care.”
To be honest? I’m not mad, nor do I think she’s wrong. I just think that she’s in that phase where she’s still newly an adult and wants people to see her as such, and that means long talks about the wonders of weed. Hey, it happens. All of us did it at some point or another and we were insufferable too when we started out. She’ll work her way through it, but until then, just try and remember how annoying you were when you had your first toke.
