A stage musical adaptation of the short-lived but beloved cult TV series Pushing Daisies is being prepped for production according to a new interview with the show’s creator, Bryan Fuller. He recently revealed, “I’ve had conversations very recently with Barry Sonnenfeld about financing a film, and with Kristin Chenoweth and Warner Brothers about developing a stage musical.” Previously, Fuller alluded to the project in another interview, relaying, “We’re working on something that is definitely a Pushing Daisies revival, and the idea would be to have as many cast as we can to participate in it.”
Personally, I’m pushing for a musical because I love Kristin Chenoweth‘s singing and the constant score running underneath the show kind of makes it perfect as a musical. Either way, as long as they can put some kind of button on the series, I’ll be happy. So very, very happy …
