rip rosa parks

wow – what a legend – at the ripe old age of 92 – rosa parks – the much loved & adored ‘mother’ of the civil rights movement has passed on to the other side – her civil disobedience act was played out on dec 1st 1955 (almost 50 years to the day!) – she refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white man in montgomery alabama – after her subsequent arrest she helped (along with martin luther king jr.) to start something much needed & long overdue in this country – i can’t even believe what went on in this country fifty years ago – we may have come a long way but the journey is far from over – we so need equality & acceptance for all – god bless rosa parks for what she stood for – and she will stand forever as a very important american icon & legend – oh rosa we miss your strong spirit already…much love to you…xxoo
