And the winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ S6 is …

RuPaul's Drag Race

RuPaul's Drag Race

Needless to say, there are going to be spoilers here, and since the first paragraph is posted on our main page, I’m just going to rattle off a bunch of nothing to make sure the name is hidden. So … how are you? I’m pretty good here. Started learning how to bootblack, and I’m getting pretty good at it. I can do polish AND grease boots now. It’s actually a lot of fun! You should try it sometime. It’s neat. All right, have I dug far enough into the post now? Terrific. Anyway, last night was the reunion / finale, and not only did BenDelaCreme win Miss Congeniality, but the season six winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race is … Bianca Del Rio (don’t miss our recent exclusive interview with her)! Here is Bianca Del Rio’s winning speech, via HuffPo

Bianca Del Rio

“I feel like I am the luckiest entertainer in the world right now… it’s an incredibly rewarding experience to have this honor and I’m proof that anything is possible,” Bianca Del Rio said in a statement. “I extend my love and gratitude to the talented World of Wonder family, Logo TV, the amazing fans, and especially RuPaul. Ru, please remember to tell the IRS that my name is Pablo Sanchez.”

Was there ever any doubt that she was going to win? Courtney Act is gorgeous and talented, and Adore Delano‘s personal growth in this competition has been astounding, but Bianca earned it. And after Sharon Needles and Jinkx Monsoon‘s messages of self-love, having Bianca win is like the next step of that message: If you really, truly love yourself, you have no problem laughing at yourself and laughing at all the things you think you are. Long live the clown with the crown!
