The Roots musically dissed Michele Bachmann!

Michele Bachmann and Jimmy Fallon

Let’s give it up for The Roots everyone! The coolest mainstream band that you never hear on the radio because they’re lacking in certain … departments (i.e. boobs). Anyway, as the houseband for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Roots were tasked with figuring out an appropriate entrance song for Michele Bachmann‘s appearance on the show. The song the picked to introduce her? Fishbone‘s Lyin’ Ass Bitch. The Huffington Post reports:

While the audience only heard a “la la” refrain, the message was sent. Before the show, Questlove tweeted, “aight late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title.” Following the performance, he retweeted a number of fans who praised the choice of snark — including one who called it the “perfect entry song for her” — and then wrote, “take a guess. buy the record anyway. its classic and should be in your vocabulary,” and provided a link to buy the album on iTunes.

Remember when Michele was the Republican Presidential frontrunner? And then everyone actually started listening to the constant stream of crazy coming out of her mouth? I swear to God, if you put a little powder on her face and made her stand perfectly still, people would think she was a batshit fountain. Anyway, it’s fine to have crazy, dangerous ideas like, oh say, that vaccines give you autism even though the only scientist who originally claimed that was disbarred for fraud, and because that’s not how autism works, dumbass. But when you start applying ideas like that to millions of people? We have a problem.
