Tina Fey: Urban Baby is a terrible site!

Because she’s already racked up a whole mess of internet love for brushing off Taylor Swift‘s ticket to hell in a classy, hilarious manner, here’s Tina Fey taking on mommy blogs. Specifically, the mommy blog trolls who seem to think that motherhood is a fashion statement as opposed to a way to share your love and life with someone else. From Us Weekly

There was a spot-on scene in the last 30 Rock where — as a new mom — you join an online chat group for moms and get into a catfight. Do you go to mommy blogs in real life?

That was definitely built on experience with things I have seen. I have never . . . I don’t know how to post on any of those. So I promise you I have never posted. I have seen people pretending to be me post on Urban Baby. I had a friend call me and say, “Are you on Urban Baby?” I said no. I didn’t know what that was. I do think some of them – Urban Baby specifically – have some of the worst human behavior I’ve ever seen in my life. Terrible. There is no one running [those sites] or they would fix it.

For the record, there are plenty of mothers who use blogs as a way of connecting with other mothers and sharing experiences. Those ones are totally cool. The bad ones are the moms who seem to think that motherhood is way to feel superior to others or a way to tell everyone else how they should be raising their kids. Like these snobs from this Buzzfeed list, who I swear couldn’t differentiate their own baby from a handbag.
