This just in from Tori Amos … I’m beyond excited over the announcement that her 12th studio album, Night Of Hunters, is coming in September! You all know that Tori is totally tops for me, and surprisingly I was actually a drop disappointed in her last release, Abnormally Attracted To Sin (I know I’m not the only Toriphile who feels this way), so I’m hoping this one clicks with me! Plus she’ll be touring, there’s already some dates listed which you can check out on the best Tori resource on the web, Undented!
Tori Amos has a new album titled Night of Hunters set for a September release. The album will be coming out via the world’s most celebrated classical label, Deutsche Grammophon.
Here’s how Tori describes the new record:
“It’s a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years. I have used the structure of a song cycle to tell an ongoing, modern story. The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”
