Kathy Griffin continues to call out the Bachmanns

Kathy Griffin

Thank God for Michele Bachmann and her ALLEGEDLY insane and gay husband, Marcus Bachmann. They’re like everything a comedy writer could ask for and more. It’s just amazing because she’s a raving lunatic with a stare that suggests she knows where the bodies of lost children are buried, and he’s completely anti-gay despite being ALLEGEDLY so far in the closet he’s finding Christmas presents. And apparently I’m not the only one, because on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Kathy Griffin revealed she almost named her new show after the douche. Via the Huffington Post:

“The Bravo special was supposed to be called ‘Pray the Gay Back.’ You get the Marcus Bachmann joke? Marcus Bachmann is one of my new favorite targets, he’s Michele Bachmann’s husband,” Griffin laughed. “Okay, he’s very anti-gay and LGBT rights, and it’s odd, because if you look at him on YouTube, it’s almost as if he himself … or, it’s as if …”

At this point, Ferguson jokingly warned Griffin, who boasts a large gay fan base and earlier in the show even called herself a gay man, to take care with her wording.

“I would say that Marcus Bachmann reminds me of a lot of the type of men who come sees my live shows,” she continued. “And he wants people to pray the gay away, and so I was going to call the special ‘Pray the Gay Back.”

HA! Awesome. Made even more awesome when you consider that that’s what I do every night before bed in order to replenish my gayness (unfortunately, my doctor has diagnosed me as drama-deficient. I need to get my gayness from somewhere!) And it’s super easy to pray the back to. All you have to do is every night, find another man (because praying works better in group. Sometimes up to eight men!), then point your heels to Jesus and just keep shouting “OH GOD! OH GOD! OH GOD!” until you’re filled with the Holy Spirit. Halleloo!
