Man, can you imagine what would happen if Modern Family ended? They’d probably just eliminate the entire comedy half of the awards. “Goodbye, to the only comedy that ever, and will ever, air on television,” they’ll presumably say, as the cast of Community silently fumes in the background. “And now we erect a statue in honor of Modern Family in the shape of Ed O’Neill, a man who only ever appeared on Modern Family and nothing else. Certainly not a show about being married, and perhaps having children.”
